  1. Hi Variense,

    1. Firmware Updater for Ubuntu didn’t work for me
    – connected VMU931
    – started VMU_Updater
    – state was Connected
    – I clicked Update
    – the updater window hanged (grayed out) with 100% CPU usage and no progress
    – I left it that way for 10 minutes with no change
    – finally I killed the updater

    Ubuntu 16.04

In case it’s needed I have combined screenshot of:
    – Variense Updater (hanged)
    – console running Variense Updater
    – top output
    – dmesg output

    2. Firmware Updater for Windows worked ok

    Same procedure but no problems.

    Kind regards,

    B.M.

    1. Hi Bartosz,
There are some additional steps that you need to take when using the firmware updater on Ubuntu. Essentially, you need to change permissions of the USB device twice (one before initiating the update and one right after initiating the update). The readMe file included with the updater contains all the instructions necessary to update your VMU931’s firmware.

      Best regards,
      Variense
